8/12/03
It was a good win for our A grade side in the first one day match of the season.  In an away game against One Tree Hill our lads batted first making 9 for 155.  In reply the One Tree Hill side was kept to a total of 115 after a great performance in the field.   The B grade also managed a win in their clash with One Tree Hill in a low scoring affair with both teams not managing to make 100 runs.  The score Eastern Park FC 9 for 98 and One Tree Hill all out for 93.
Willaston were too good for our C grade in another low scoring game with a combined total of 156 runs.  Eastern Park only managing 74 in their innings with Willaston 6 for 82 in reply.
Our Juniors have been playing well but have had mixed fortunes in their results.  The Under 15 side did exceedingly well in their match against Sandy Creek scoring 3 for 318 in their innings and finished them off with a great performance with the ball, limiting them to 95 in reply.  Well done lads.   Keep it up little Demons!

After a promising start our A grade went down to Central District in their match on the weekend.  A score of  8/211 wasn't quite enough with Centrals 7/275 in reply.    The B grade continued their match with Paralowie and made 175 after bowling them out for 152 in their first innings.  Paralowie 4/116 in their second at the conclusion of play.
Sandy Creek batted first in the clash against our C grade side and were 9 for 228 in the grade 7 match.  Boulton taking 3 for 50.
Our Juniors have been playing well but have had mixed fortunes in their results.  The Under 15 side did exceedingly well in their match against Sandy Creek scoring 3 for 318 in their first innings.  Well done lads.  Our Under 13s also performed well in their match against South Gawler scoring 156 in their first innings.  Keep it up little Demons!

26/11/03
Batting first in their match against Central districts, the A grade performed well finishing the day 8/211 with Beasliegh 62 and Oakley 61.  Lets keep up the good work Demons.    The B grade began their match with Paralowie and managed to bowl them out for 152 with Richardson taking 4 for 28.  In reply our boys were 2 for 52 at the conclusion of play.
Sandy Creek batted first in the clash against our C grade side and were 9 for 228 in the grade 7 match.  Boulton taking 3 for 50.
Our Juniors have be playing well with wins in the under 11's and 13's.  The Under 11 side cleaned up Gawler Central with scores EPFC 4/128 to 5/120. Young Kovatseff making 34 not out and with bowling figures of 1/5 had a great day out.  The under 13s came up against Salisbury North and grabbed the points with EPFC all out for 242 with the opposition falling short with 8/235.  Well done little Demons

17/11/03
The A grade match which was converted into a one day game was a good one for our lads with a good win over Salisbury West.  EPFC all out for 173 with Salisbury West 7/157 in reply.  Lets hope that this is the beginning of a long winning streak for the Demons.  The B grade finished off their clash against Salisbury West in style in a convincing win.  Some of the highlights of the game were Knox with 120 and Totton with the bowling figures of 6/51.  Well done Demons.  The C grade did not play on the weekend with the team for South Gawler forfeiting.
The Sunday Comp is alive and well but Bert's side are licking their wounds after an absolute thumping at the hands of the Elizabeth Rugby.  Bert's boys were all out for 52 after the opposition posted and impressive 285.  Better luck next week.  Our group A Sunday side faired a little better with an away win over Golden Grove.

8/11/03
There was not a lot of senior cricket played by our teams on the weekend, with our A grade's game cancelled due to the condition of the ground which was inadvertently watered on the Friday night before the match.  Steps have now been taken to ensure, hopefully, this will not happen again. The C grade also did not play on the weekend with the team for South Gawler forfeiting.  The B's however did manage to play and were all out for 200 with Salisbury West 3 for 25 in reply.  Good luck for next week lads.
The A grade game against Salisbury West will be played at home, all being well, as a 1 day game this Saturday.   Come along all and support you team.

Our Juniors matches conclude this wekend with mixed results.  ur under 13 Red side taking the points with a win against Penfield.  For more scores check the Results > Cricket > Juniors menu.

2/11/03
The shining light of our cricket sides this weekend was our C grade who had a great win over Craigmore.  The A grade suffered at the hands of Brahma Lodge falling short by 83 runs in a two inning match.  That's 2 losses in a row and not a great start to the season.  The B grade also suffered a defeat in a hard fought game against Central United.  A costly 1st innings total of 65 put the Demons under pressure and they were unable to recover in the 4 innings game.
Our Juniors our half way through their current matches with the Under 13 Blue team having a great day with the bat scoring 4/234 in their clash against Angle Vale.  For more scores check the Results > Cricket > Juniors menu.

Hopefully the "A" demons will perform this weekend in their home match against Salisbury West. I would urge all supporters of the Eastern Park Football Club to get down to the ground and support your team.   The B grade also has Salisbury West this weekend but are playing away.  South Gawler are our C grades (away) opponents and hopefully our lads can continue their winning streak.

26/10/03

The first match of the cricket season was a forgettable one for our A grade side going down to Sandy Creek in a disappointing result.   We were all out in our first innings for a measly  87 with John Durrant top scoring on 27.  The opposition belted our bowlers in their 235 run feast.  Our best bowling was from Masefield with 4/37 and McConnell with 3/57.  A second innings 40 by Beazleigh was a highlight in an otherwise lack lustre performance.
Hopefully the demons will perform this weekend in their match against Brahma Lodge.  The weekend was a better one for our B grade side downing Willaston in a grade 3 game played at Eastern Park.  Scores to follow.  The C grade continued the A 's trend going down to Two Wells in their clash.  Scores to follow soon. The C grade have Craigmore this week.

The Junior programs have been posted.  Check out the menu Cricket > Junior > Programme for all our younger team games.  A, B and C grade programmes as well as the Sunday Comp (both teams) have also been posted.

11/10/03
Cricket season is almost upon us and will commence on the 11th of October for our Senior grades and the following week for our Juniors.  Eastern Park will  field a number of teams in this year's competition with an A grade side playing in the grade 1, B grade in grade 3 and a C grade in grade 7 north.  The club will also field a team for the Sunday competition.
Four junior teams including an U11, two U13s (red and blue) and an U15 side will compete in the junior competition.  The programs for all our team games will be posted soon.

Brett Rowland has been appointed senior coach for this season and will no doubt do a great job.  Other appointments include Craig Wilson who will coach the under 11s, Craig Cotton coaches the under 13 red team and John Durrant will coach the 13's blue side.  Dave Thompson will take on the under 15's.

14/09/03
That's all of the footy for 2003 with our last two hopes going down on the weekend.  The C grade found the going tough against the Goodwood Saints in the grand final played at Edwardstown.   The final score, Goodwood 15 -  6 : 96 to Eastern Park 2 - 3 : 15.  A disappointing result on the day but a great effort to make it from 5th spot on the ladder.
The under 17's were also unlucky in their clash against Hope Valley played at Kilburn in trying conditions.  The final score line was Hope Valley 11 - 7 : 73 to  Eastern Park 8 - 6 : 54.  The lads fought valiantly but it wasn't to be.  A couple of late goals by Hope Valley just before the breaks was the difference in the end.
Although there were no flags for the Eastern Park Football Club this year, it  was still a successful one for the Demons.  Every grade from Under 12's all the way through to the A Grade (Div 3) made it to the finals. Five of those, including U12, U14, U15, U17 and C grade were grand finalists.

07/09/03
Well that's the season  for the Eastern Park's A grade side.  The return match against SPOC played at Edwardstown, saw to that with the Demons going down by 27 points, SPOC 16:10 - 106 to EPFC 11:13 - 79.   Our A grade hadn't beaten SPOC all year and unfortunately for the Dees it didn't start this weekend.  This was a great first season in Division 3 for the Eastern Park Football Club and it is one that everybody should be proud of, for not only finishing second in the minor round but also a brave performance in the prelim final.
The C grade played Salisbury North and once again came away with a narrow win, this week by 5 points.  Eastern Park  12 : 3 - 75 to Salisbury North 10 :10 - 70.  That's three close ones in a row.  On to the grand final next week lads.  Go Demons !
The under 17's were also victorious in their game against Salisbury West.  The final score line was Eastern Park 8 : 12 - 60 to Salisbury West 4 : 10 - 34.  This was a convincing win by the lads and lets hope they can continue their winning form into the grand final against Hope Valley next week.

Eastern Park had 2 other junior teams in grand finals this weekend, the Under 15's and 12's with Greenacres under 14's also making the big one. Unfortunately it wasn't to be, with all teams going down.  The under 12's were under pressure in the first half and didn't manage a score but to their credit, they rallied to win the second half.  The final score Salisbury North 5 :7 - 37 to Eastern Park 1 : 6 - 12.  Greenacres under 14's came up against Walkerville in the GF played at Prospect oval.  The score was a less than flattering one with Walkerville kicking 13 : 10 - 88  to Greenacres 4 : 5 - 29.  A disappointing effort by the Greenacres boys considering their excellent form throughout the year.  The under 15's played Salisbury in the last match of the day at NAP oval.  The boys played well but it wasn't to be with Salisbury winning comfortably.   This ended a great season by the 15's who were written off by many during the year.
31/08/03

What a great weekend for the Eastern Park Football club.   Our A grade side came from behind in the last to knockout Old Ignations in a great, hard fought 1st semi final.  A great game for the Dees.  The final score in the game played at Salisbury Oval was Eastern Park  12:12 - 84 to Old Ignations 11:3 - 69.  A great win considering the number of players out of the side.   The B grade fought hard in their clash against Prince Alfred OC but in the end went down by 15 points.  The reserves were down on numbers losing players to the A's and junior coaching commitments.  The young lads that filled in for the team held their heads high and performed well.
The C grade played Adelaide Uni in appalling conditions at Payneham N.U..  In a low scoring affair, our lads came away with a win by the smallest possible margin.  Eastern Park  3:5 - 23 to Adelaide Uni 3:4 - 22.  That's  two close ones in a row.

Congratulations to A grader Michael Walters for his 100th for Eastern Park.  Well done Mick !!

Our juniors continued the finals campaign on the weekend, with the 15's grabbing an impressive victory over Smithfield in a one sided prelim final.  The final score, Eastern Park 12:8 - 80 to Smithfield 3:5 - 23.  Our Under 12's were also victorious in a great win over Central United.  With an impressive 6 goal first quarter our lads were never going to lose this one.  The lads only kicked 2 more for the day, but it was enough for a place in the Grand Final.  The final score Eastern Park 8:8 - 56 to Central United 6:8 - 44.  It was an impressive victory also for Eastern Parks adopted team Greenacres under 14's in their win over Athelstone played at Prospect oval.  The score Greenacres 14:6 - 90 to Athelstone 6:7 - 43.!!!!

24/08/03

Our A and B grade sides went down to Norwood oval on the weekend and unfortunately were not good enough in their clashes against SPOC.  In appalling conditions the A's went down in a lack lustre performance by a 51 point margin.  Poor discipline did not help the cause in a difficult match.   The B's were better performed but suffered the same fate going down by 25 points to SPOC who kicked 10 straight goals.
Both the A and B grade will have to regroup and turn it around next week for the first semi final.

The C grade played Athelstone in an elimination final and came away with a great win.  Yet another Athelstone side being beaten by Eastern Park.  Keep it up lads.  The D grade however were not as lucky with their season ending in a loss against Athelstone in Div 10 North.

Congratulations to Mark Prime for his 250th for Eastern Park.  Well done Mini !!

Our juniors continued the finals campaign on the weekend, with the 15's grabbing a narrow 2 point victory against Salisbury North in a game played at Salisbury West.  Well Done.  Our Under 12's were also victorious in a great win over Salisbury at Central United. Keep it going little Demons!!!!

17/08/03

A great win by our A and B grade sides saw the demise of Athelstone in games which ended the finals race for both their Div 3 and Div 3 reserves.  After a tight first quarter the A's kicked away to win by 89 points.  Carey Payne kicking 8 goals in an impressive win.  The win saw Eastern Park finish the minor round in 2nd spot on the ladder.  Congratulations to "Willow" (Craig Wilson) for reaching 100 games for the mighty demons.
The B grade also wrapped up second spot on the Div 3 Reserves ladder with their 51 point win over the "Raggies".   Goal kicking legend "Thomo" added 7 to his tally for the year.

The C grade played PHOS Camden at their home ground and absolutely thumped the "Phantoms" by almost 20 goals in a must win game for the Dees.  The win guarantees finals actions for our Div 8 Lads.  Well done !  The Div 10 boys were unlucky in their clash against North Pines but will still play in finals.   Congratulations to Bill Wells for his 150th for Eastern Park.

Our juniors began the finals campaign on the weekend in all grades but our unlucky 11's.  Our under 12's had a great win against Salisbury West in an elimination final.  The 15s also accounted for Salisbury West.

10/08/03
Another win to Eastern Park's A grade side sees them maintain second spot on the Division 3 ladder with only one more minor round game this season.  In a scrappy affair Eastern Park defeated Old Ignations by a couple of goals.  The reserves were more dominant in their game demolishing the opposition by a healthy 118 points with Thomo kicking 11.
The C grade came up against Athelstone at home and were unable to bring home the points, going down by a 45 point margin. The Div 8 lads will have to do well in their final minor round clash to cement a finals birth.
Our div 10 boys, however performed well to overrLindsay Lawrence 400 Games and Dave Bennett 300 gamesun the Athelstone which were placed 4th on the ladder.  This win gains a spot in the five for our lads.
A couple of major milestones this week.  Lindsay Lawrence playing his 400th game for the Eastern Park Demons. Well done Lindsay!  Also Dave Bennett celebrated his 300th game for the club.

For a few of our Junior teams this weekend was the last footy for the year as there aren't any finals for the younger grades, some of our older lads though are involved in the finals and we wish them well.  Go Demons!   Congratulations to Matthew Coad from the under 10s who played his 50th game for the Demons in their last game of the year.

03/08/03
It was Prince Alfred Old Collegians turn this weekend to be thumped by Eastern Park in both the A and B grades.  Our div 3 side had a 12 goal to 2 second half resulting in a convincing 54 point win.  This win maintains second spot on the ladder for the Demons.  Congratulations to Carey Payne and Chris Oakley for their 100th games for Eastern Park.  The reserves also brought home the bacon in a great 56 point win, moving them to second spot on the ladder.
The C grade came up against Kilburn in an away clash that saw the Dees win by a 15 point margin.  Our div 10 boys, however weren't as fortunate going down to Portland by 29 points.  A great weekend's footy for the mighty Demons.

Our Junior teams were up and down on the weekend.  The under 12's showed great spirit in a good team effort to down Salisbury by 32 points. The last time these sides met it resulted in a draw, so well done boys for a great win.

27/07/03
This weekend saw Eastern Park playing Payneham N.U. at Demonland.  The result was a good one for the Demons with both the A grade and the B grade coming away with the win.  The A's played great footy to win comfortably by 54 points.  This win has rocketed Eastern Park up to second place by percentage on the Div 3 ladder.  The reserves absolutely hammered their opposition in a very one sided affair.  The final margin of 153 points was more like a cricket score in a great win by the B's.
The C grade ventured down to the Adelaide Uni grounds and unfortunately were unable to come away with the win, going down by only 14 points in a hard fought game.  Our div 10 boys, however had a better result with a good win over Hope Valley in a close one.  The demons by 3 points.  A great weekend's footy for the mighty Demons.

Our Junior teams had some mixed results on weekend.  One highlight was the victory of our under 9 blue team who had a great win over Salisbury blue.  Our boys played hard and tough footy to come away with a close 1 point win.

Congratulations to Alex Daniels who plays in Under 11s, for reaching his 50th game for the club.

22/07/03
A great weekend of footy in good conditions saw Eastern Park victorious in all senior grades.  Our division 3 sides went down to Para Hills and gave them an absolute thumping with the A's winning by an impressive 166 points with Ricky Buckfield kicking 7.  The reserves also whipped Para Hills by a lazy 138 points.  The C's had the wood on Broadview and were comfortable winners.  The D's turned around a 15 goal loss in round 1 to annihilate Adelaide Uni by 47 points, in a stunning victory that keeps them in touch of the five.
  T
he under 17s had a day out on Sunday when they celebrated Franky Manikas' 150th with a great win over Salisbury West.  Congratulations and well played Franky.
A great weekend's footy for the mighty Demons.

Our Junior teams had some mixed results on weekend.  One highlight was the victory of our under 15 lads who had a great win over 2nd placed Salisbury North.  Our boys turned around a 16 goal loss last time they played to come away with an impressive 44 point win.
Congratulations to Clint Stewart and Troy Chammings from our under 16's on reaching their 150th game.

15/07/03

It was a great weekend for Eastern Park's senior teams with 3 wins and 1 loss in the senior grades.  The A and B grades were at home on sponsors day and the lads didn't disappoint their generous supporters, with comfortable wins against Hectorville.  The cold and muddy conditions were difficult but the Demons showed their class to come away with the points.
The C grade ventured down to Salisbury North and went down to the 2nd placed team on the ladder in a close hard fought game.  The 10 point margin was indicated the closeness of the game.  The D's also came away with the win when they took care of Fitzroy by 27 points.  A great weekend's footy for the mighty Demons.

Our Junior teams had a rest over the weekend with the annual SmartPlay Cup taking place.

06/07/03

It was a great weekend for Eastern Park's senior teams with wins in all of the senior grades.  The A and B grades went down to Portland and played well to come away with the points.  The A grade were easy winners in their clash with Portland to maintain 5th spot on the ladder.  The B's got up against top of the ladder Portland in an outstanding 18 point win.   Eastern Park's Cs were 9 point winners over a determined Pooraka and the D's also came away with the win when they took care of North Haven by 12 points.  A great weekend's footy for the mighty Demons.

Our Junior teams had mixed results over the weekend with the under 10s having a thrilling 1 point win over Salisbury North.  For quarter by quarter scores, goal kickers and comments check out the results menu.

Well Done to Luke Wilton for his 150th junior game.   Luke started playing Footy for Eastern Park in Under 8's at the age of four.  It is a fabulous milestone to reach at such an early age.  Well done Luke, a true Demon.

Also congratulations to U/9 Jason Peel and U/10 Rory Andrews for their 50 games.

29/06/03

Eastern Park's senior teams found the going tough on the weekend with the A and B grade going down to Walkerville at home by 25 and 14 points respectively.   The wet and muddy conditions kept the scores down in a disappointing weekend for the Demons.  The C grade came up against Seaton Ramblers and went down by 22.  The D grade had a forfeit when Greenacres couldn't field a team.

Congratulations to A grade players Nathan Scott for 100 senior games and Alan Harvey for his 50th. Congratulations also to C graders, Kelvin "Cujo" Desmond and Steve Drewitt for their 50th game for the Demons.

Our Junior teams also found the going tough on the weekend with some hard fought encounters.  For quarter by quarter scores, goal kickers and comments check out the results menu.

Well Done to Scott Prime for his 100th junior game.  Also congratulations to U/11 Jason Paul and U/10 players, Jake Hazeal and Sam Biggs on their 50 games.

22/06/03

Eastern Park's four senior teams found the going tough on the weekend with the A and B grade going down narrowly to St Peters O.C. by 8 and 2 points respectively.  The wet and muddy conditions kept the scores down in a disappointing weekend for the Demons.  The C grade came up against the ladder leaders and were unable to take the win.  The D grade were outplayed late in the second half by Hectorville to go down in difficult conditions.  The under 17s provided some joy for the EPFC with a good win at home over Salisbury North

Congratulations to A grade players Nathan Scott for 100 senior games and Alan Harvey for his 50th. Congratulations also to C graders, Kelvin "Cujo" Desmond and Steve Drewitt for their 50th game for the Demons.

15/06/03

Congratulations to A grade players Nathan Scott for 100 senior games and Alan Harvey for his 50th. Congratulations also to C graders, Kelvin "Cujo" Desmond and Steve Drewitt for their 50th game for the Demons.

Congratulations to Steve Sweetman on reaching the 100 games milestone.

Our Junior teams had mixed results on the weekend with 5 wins,  5 losses and a draw across the various age groups.  For quarter by quarter scores, goal kicker and comments check out the results menu.

17/05/03
Eastern Park's Div 3 and Div 3 reserves ventured down to Payneham on the weekend and although our teams played well against the top of the ladder competition, it wasn't enough to bring home the points.  However it wasn't all bad with the C grade and the under 17's bringing home wins in their games against Adelaide Uni and Salisbury West.
There were no junior games played this weekend due to the inter-association matches played at NAP oval between the Central Districts Junior Football League and the North Adelaide Junior Football Association.

The weekend proved to be a good one for Eastern Park with our A,B and C grade sides having easy wins.  The A grade absolutely hammered Para Hills in retribution for their lost to them in last years Grand Final.  The junior grades all played well with only two losses and a draw.  Well done to all Eastern Park teams.  Go Demons!

The weekend of the 26/27th April provided a number of great games with wins in the A, B and D grades with a narrow loss in the C's.  The juniors also had Banner in memory of Rob Hollis success in a number of the age groups.  For all the latest results check the results menu.
As a sign of respect for the late Rob Hollis all players and coaches in all grades wore black armbands.  He will be sadly missed.

Under 11's remember their coach, Rob Hollis

The season is now two games old and Div 3 is providing a challenge for our As.   Congratulations to Corey Noble who played his 100th for the Demons in the match against Walkerville on the weekend.  Our Div 8 Demons are going along nicely with 2 wins on the board, keep it up.

That's not Kicking in Danger Mum! The Parent/child football challenge took place on Saturday 22nd of March and a great time was had by all.  Unfortunately for the parents it was another humiliating defeat with kids just too good on the night.  There was some great action on the night with lots of skill shown (mainly by the kids).  Highlight of the evening was the president/umpire aka Dukey being pinned down by the kids with everybody piling on.     Click Here to see some photos

    Go Little Demons !

Cricket season 2003 is rapidly coming to a close with EPFC teams all doing well.  The A grade is sitting 3rd on the ladder with the B grade going one better sitting in second spot.  The C's are still trying hard.  Keep it up !

Sandbowl
The Bay Sports Festival’s NFL Sand Bowl was played at Glenelg on the 29th of December.  Eastern Park was represented by Daniel Kirby, Damian Griffiths, Matt Paul, Matt Daniels, Kev Burckett, Bryan and Shaun Gatto, and Rick and Danny Buckfield.  A first game loss to Unley but a very narrow defeat at the hands of Gridiron Club and inaugural Sand Bowl champions, the Eastside Razorbacks gained the boys some respectability.  Game three and with a newfound confidence saw the lads triumph over the Woodville Rugby Union Club.

Wheelbarrow of Goodies - Get your ticket now!

Well the Christmas Fun Day was held at the Club over the weekend and although the day was an absolute scorcher a good day was had by all.
Santa made his customary appearance, though due to the hot conditions he gave his reindeer a rest and arrived on the back of a motorbike.  Thanks Trev for giving Santa a lift.

All the kids had a great time with copious amounts of water being thrown all about the place.  Santa gave out heaps of goodies and listened with great attention to the requests of the kids.
Congratulations also go to the winner of the Christmas raffle, yes all those wonderful goodies have found a new home.  Well done Ian Sandell, enjoy!  Second prize goes to Glen Orton, well done!

The netball presentations took place and congratulations goes to all the players especially those who managed to take home a trophy.
